GameStop is pushing further into the NFT sector based on a slew of recent job postings

Video game retailer GameStop is looking for an accountant for non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies and other blockchain technology applications, according to a job posting posted Nov. 3.

The retailer wants to hire someone with experience in e-commerce or gaming accounting.

The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with GameStop’s technology and business development teams.

He or she will be responsible for overseeing the company’s NFT platform operational accounting processes with “the highest level of control and integrity”.

GameStop, which found itself at the epicenter of retail traders’ rebellion against Wall Street in early 2021, opened a position as a crypto-savvy blockchain analyst in early April.

In May, it launched a new web portal for its NFT platform.

Last month, the company began searching for “Head of Web3 Gaming” and added a slew of cryptocurrency-related job postings.

Meanwhile, AMC, another company whose stock has become the darling of Reddit traders, is expected to start accepting cryptocurrency in its theaters by the end of the year, and is currently considering adding Shiba. Inu.
