• Create and implement accounting and bookkeeping procedures

• Maintain accounting systems, including:

– Complete journal, ledger and ledger entries

-manage bank accounts including deposits and monthly reconciliations

-manage accounts payable

-manage accounts receivable by keeping all the data necessary for analysis

-prepare financial statements for various meetings and individuals

-administer payroll and all employee benefits including, but not limited to IRA contributions, employment tax forms and payments

• Track all relevant employee information including new hire documents, workers compensation, unemployment and any other necessary forms

• Maintain an inventory control system to track alcohol, beer and soda, including a semi-annual physical count of all inventory to verify the accuracy of the perpetual inventory used by the accounting software

• Manage and implement all County Fair cash management, revenue balancing and accounting policies and procedures

• Assist with all event ticketing operations including but not limited to staffing, supplies / equipment requirements and all accounting functions

• Assist the Executive Director in the process and procedures of annual budgeting and annual audit

• Prepare an annual fair report for the State of Wisconsin

• Report sales taxes accurately and in a timely manner

• Liaison of staff with the AIS finance committee. Attend the monthly meeting of the AIS Finance Committee and Board of Directors

• Keep all data on donations / grants / pledges

• Renews necessary permits / licenses

• Any other task deemed necessary by the general manager

Essential knowledge and skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and QuickBooks

• Exceptional customer service

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality

• Critical thinking and problem solving to include troubleshooting

• Organization, precision and ability to multitask

• Decision making regarding the prioritization of tasks and tasks

• Willingness to submit and pass a background check
