2784865 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District RFP Description: Sixteenth Section Land Management Services RFP Deadline: 10:00 am, June 30, 2021 General Information: The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District (“SOCSD”) accepts proposals from vendors to provide services related to the management of the Sixteenth Section of the District and the land holdings of the place. During this activity, the seller will develop the terms and conditions of rental transactions with potential and existing tenants and recommend these conditions to the SOCSD board of directors in the form of a lease to be approved by the board of directors and the superintendent of SOCSD. The seller must maintain a database of tenants and rental conditions. A contract will be awarded for a period of one (1) year. If the Supplier fails to provide the Services to SOCSD’s reasonable satisfaction, written notice of such failure must be given to the Supplier. If Seller has not corrected such breach to SOCSD’s reasonable satisfaction within thirty (30) days of notification, SOCSD may terminate the Agreement by giving Seller additional thirty (30) days written notice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing between SOCSD and the successful supplier, this RFP must be incorporated into the Sixteenth Section Land Management Contract and SOCSD must order these services on a SOCSD Purchase Order. SOCSD is not obligated to enter into the Supplier’s Standard Service Agreement and the terms of this RFP should be incorporated into the SOCSD Purchase Order. There will be no change, addition, deletion, modification or amendment to the contract unless it has been approved in writing by SOCSD. The seller may not assign its contract with SOCSD with respect to any of its rights or duties under it without the prior written consent of SOCSD. The seller must provide and maintain the following insurance in the amounts prescribed: Coverage Limits of Liability General Liability $ 1,000,000 per occurrence In all of these policies, SOCSD must be named as an additional insured at no cost to SOCSD and, before commencing any work, the seller must provide SOCSD with copies of the policy riders specifying that SOCSD is an additional insured. All policies must include endorsements providing that the policy cannot be terminated, canceled or not renewed without at least thirty (30) days written notice to SOCSD. Supplier must agree to indemnify, defend and hold SOCSD harmless from all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, fines, penalties, lawsuits, proceedings and other expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to the conduct of the supplier or actions related to its management of the Sixteenth Section of SOCSD and properties instead. The prices for the services indicated in the supplier’s proposal have not been knowingly disclosed directly or indirectly to a competitor or other supplier prior to the opening of the sealed proposals. 4. Supplier has made no attempt to induce any other company or person to submit or not to submit a proposal for the services requested in the RFP. 5. Neither the Seller nor any party acting through or under it shall file or cause to be deposited any lien of any kind against SOCSD or any property belonging to SOCSD, and Seller agrees to release any such privilege which might be so deposited.
