UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTEREST AND DECLARATIONS OF QUALIFICATIONS FACILITY PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING SERVICES TERM CONTRACTS RFP 21-08 The Office of the Architect at the University of Virginia (university or AVU) and the Department of construction and renovation planning, programming, design and strategy companies must submit letters of interest / statements of qualifications and associated supporting documents for consideration in the selection of consultants to provide these services on the basis a fixed-term contract. The services associated with this forward contract will generally support academic and UVA Health projects other than capital and capital planning, construction and renovations. All work will be carried out in accordance with the latest version of the AVU Higher Education Capital Expenditure Manual (HECOM). The University may award multiple futures contracts from this solicitation. There will be no first order of service associated with this supply. Each of the selected companies will be awarded a fixed-term contract to provide planning, programming, design and strategy consulting services with their first service order. Additional service orders may be drafted under the terms of the agreement which are of a similar nature including, but not limited to, physical planning studies, pre-design studies and the design of capital projects and no fixed assets. The selected consultants must be able to respond quickly to academic or UVA Health projects that may have short term deadlines. The duration of the contracts will be one (1) year or a maximum value of $ 500,000 in fees, whichever occurs first. The contract (s) will include four (4) additional one-year contract renewals at the discretion of the University, under the same terms. The University does not guarantee that the selected firm or firms will receive service orders. General Scope of Services: The selected companies will provide timely physical planning, programming, design and strategy services as required by the University.
