Wings & Arrow, LLC, the growing parent company of Ashland Hard Seltzer and Villager Spirits, is seeking a new Chief Accounting Officer / Senior Assistant Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment and who has a strong interest in the beverage industry. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and closing processes, performing internal audits, and maintaining documentation of accounts receivable and payable. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). To be successful in this role, you must be able to accurately maintain a general ledger, master Quickbooks and inventory / cost accounting, and maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). An exceptional accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager:

  • Maintain financial reports, records and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyzes and reconciliations of accounts and assist with monthly closing processes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Maintain documentation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and treasury and perform internal audits.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Compliance with processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Respond to inquiries, review financial statements and assist with audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist the CFO and other senior executives with reports and analysis, upon request.

Senior Accounting Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • More than 5 years of accounting experience, previous experience in the food and / or beverage industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong computational and analytical skills.
  • Good problem solving and time management skills.
  • Very organized and detail oriented
